At Dartmouth Family Centre, we believe that strong families create strong communities — and for more than a decade, we’ve been proud to walk alongside families on their journey.
A Place Where Everyone Belongs
Whether you’re expecting your first child or raising a busy preschooler, parenting comes with questions, concerns, and beautiful moments that deserve to be shared. That’s why Dartmouth Family Centre is open to all — especially families with children prenatal to age six. Our Centre is a space where parents, caregivers, and children can come together, learn from each other, and grow in a supportive, non-judgmental environment.
Every visit to the Centre is met with a warm smile, a listening ear, and a community that truly cares.
Programs That Support the Whole Family
We know that no two families are alike, and our programs reflect that. From prenatal and postnatal support to child development activities and parenting education, everything we offer is designed with the family in mind.
Our most loved programs include:
- Parent & Child Together Time – Play-based activities that strengthen bonds and support early learning
- Baby & Me Groups – A welcoming space for new parents to connect and learn
- Parenting Support Workshops – Build confidence, share stories, and explore practical strategies
- Home Visits & Outreach – Personalized support for families who may need extra care or can’t make it to the Centre
Best of all? Every program is completely free. We even provide childcare and bus tickets for those in registered programs to ensure every family has access.
Drop In, Say Hello
Not sure where to start? Just stop by! Our community drop-in room is open throughout the week and is a great way to ease into the space. You’ll find toys, crafts, comfy seating, and friendly staff ready to chat, play, or simply listen. Many lifelong friendships among parents — and playmates — have started right here.
